Celebrating Good Relations Week and Shared Education Day – One Mile at a Time!

To mark Good Relations Week 2025 and Shared Education Day on the 16th October 2025, pupils at St. Mary’s Primary School are stepping out onto our very own school pitch each day to take part in the “Walk a Mile a Day” initiative. This simple yet powerful activity promotes not only physical wellbeing, but also emotional resilience and positive social connections. Movement breaks like these help alleviate stress, improve focus, and encourage healthy habits. 

Brookeborough Controlled P.S. pupils joined us for a joint Shared Education walk on Thursday 16th October to celebrate Shared Education day by walking together. As pupils walk and talk together, they build friendships, share stories, and strengthen their sense of community – all while enjoying the fresh air and exercise. It was a joyful way to celebrate togetherness, inclusion, and wellbeing – one step at a time!
