PDMU
Personal Development and Mutual Understanding (PDMU) focuses on encouraging each child to become personally, emotionally, socially effective, to lead healthy, safe and fulfilled lives and to become confident, independent and responsible citizens, making informed and responsible choices and decisions throughout their lives.
The purpose of Personal Development and Mutual Understanding as a separate Area of Learning within the primary curriculum is to provide the opportunity for specific attention to be given to emotional development, health and safety, relationships and the development of moral thinking, values and action.
